Independent Schools Inspectorate
We are delighted to announce that following our ISI Inspection in January we have achieved ‘excellent in all areas’.
A double “excellent” is the highest possible outcome for a school during an Educational Quality Inspection.
We are so proud of what the inspectors said about our school and in particular that they recognised:
“The school meets its aim to stretch and challenge pupils to achieve the best they can as individual learners”.
FACILITIES & LOCATION
Situated in the leafy north London suburb of Hendon
The school provides a fantastic range of facilities to enhance pupils’ learning and experience. We have bright and well-resourced classrooms, complete with an ICT suite, dedicated Art and Design studio, music room, library and a fully equipped science laboratory.
A large playground and outside classroom give pupils much needed space for play and outdoor learning. With a planting area, amphitheatre, Astroturf football and netball pitch and giant chess board, playtimes are full of fun at Hendon Prep.
Besides using the wonderful playground for sports and PE lessons, the school also makes use of fabulous local facilities such as Poolside Manor Swimming Pool and Power League.

We are delighted to have been named a Finalist for “Best Use of Education Technology” at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2025! Judges were impressed by our innovative teaching methods and engaging learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. Year 6 had a brilliant day out at the National Portrait Gallery in Trafalgar Square last Week! 🎨🖼️
Our pupils took part in an inspiring workshop exploring continuous line drawing and textured artwork, before touring the gallery and diving into the fascinating world of portraiture. 💫
Fuelled by creativity, they’ve now begun crafting their own collage-based portraits, blending texture, mixed media and expressive linework. We can’t wait to see what they create! ✂️🖌️✨
